You sound much better. And it is great news that your fingers are moving so well! Excellent!

You sound good; speech very good. You have to sequence everything. A new pathway has to be recreated. After knee replacement my leg couldn't dance anymore. I had been hula dancing for years. All the muscle memory was F***ing gone. I had to retrain it from the beginning. You will have to sequence and plan everything. It will get better.😘

Focus on the good. It is really hard at times but when we keep a praise and thankful mindset it helps even with pain. I have been in a wheelchair since 2017 because of bad back surgeries and pain is my constant companion. If it was not for praising God and knowing that he was in control I would not get anything accomplished..

Chronic pain for any length of time can be maddening! I’m so sorry! I’m recovering from back surgery and not sleeping because of pain is THE WORST.

If you haven’t already, get as many pillows around you as possible when trying to sleep. Also, if you have people with you overnight that are willing (I did, but I don’t know if that applies to all back surgeries or situations), sleep on your side if you can and have them use a towel you lay on to help turn you if needed at night as that may take pressure off of your back. Don’t forget about your arms and legs too, they have muscles that will adjust tension on those healing too, you can use pillows to prop your limbs in positions that are more comfortable. You can also mention it in a follow up and possibly get prescribed something to help you fall asleep. -Sincerely, someone who has had posterior spinal fusion

Living with constant pain can be a huge problem. My personal way of dealing with it is to keep reminding myself that if it hurts, I'm still alive to push forward for another day. I use a self-hypnosis method that I was lucky enough to be taught to help me get to sleep and to get back to sleep. Maybe there is someone out there that can help you learn something similar? Getting proper sleep will, after all, help your mind to heal as well as the physical benefits 🦄

I have a totally different injury. It’s nerve related and originating in the shoulder. It would feel like it was on fire- and the nights were the worst. I found a little sleep with CBD gummies (Charlotte’s Web- Sleep. Double dose.) and a “C” pillow I got off of Amazon. (Advertised for pregnant women- but it supported my arm/shoulder/neck/head enough to get me a little relief. Praying you find the things that make this bearable.

@@michaelarcher2309 The main medical use for ketosis outside of weight loss is preventing childhood seizures in those with treatment resistant epilepsy. There is some research that it can improve cognitive impairment but it isn't a silver bullet.
