This year has been HARD, more than 5 ish years ago, I was I little 13 year old boy, and I stumbled across your families videos, you guys inspired, pushed and motivated me and My life completely turned 180 and I was being my best, I was grinding my dreams of baseball and I wasn’t that bad, I was on a pretty good track, I’ve faced so much criticism, trials, setbacks, the stuff straight out of the movies, I felt like the star of the movie every single day. I couldn’t even name all the people and events thats torn me down, but I’d always keep going. But this year with COVID, I lost my baseball scholarship because of shutdowns and money problems with the school, and the baseball program had difficulties. I’m living at home and I’m stuck, I’ve lost my motivation and sometimes I get sick of hearing all this, and I just wonder what it’s be like if people knew what this journey had been like. UGH! BUTTTTT!!!!!!! I knew deep down, im not finished, this stuff SUCKS! Thank you Butlers for teaching me to never give up. Hopefully I can look back at this comment one year from now when I HAVE WALKED ON TO MY COLLEGE BASEBALL TEAM! I will.. I will.. Thank you Momma! I love you. Have a great day and thanksgiving this week ❤️❤️❤️

I would love to hear your insight as to how you forgave your husband. I have also dealt with infidelity on his behalf, it truly shattered me to the core. I just try not to think about it, as its the only way I can continue on with him. Would love to be in a better mindset with a hard relationship. Love you & your true heartfelt inspiration ❤️🥰 A real queen!

I have experienced the same. It’s an everyday struggle. Two years later I still experience some ptsd in the form of nightmares. Be kind to yourself, and if it’s something you think would work for you, therapy was a big help❤️🙏🏻

You shouldn't rug sweep cheating. You're clearly still hurt and unhappy. Have you tried couples counseling? If you have to not think about something in order to be with someone, you should end the relationship. You deserve to be happy. Best wishes ❤️🥂

@@PiggyAzaleea ofcourse youre right ❤️ I should specify his infidelity was an online affair, quite similar to shays... about 2 years ago. we have 2 kids together so I feel it is not that simple unfortunately. we do love eachother. Just unsure of how to move forward. :(

I understand thank you for sharing with me, this is something I do plan to talk more about when I’m ready. For now I want to say that your well being comes first and no body can tell you what to do in your relationship. I have found great help in a therapist, support group, and close friends and family. I took steps to learn how to set boundaries and to create a better emotional environment for myself. I’ve had to make hard choices and work everyday. But every bit of it has been worth it. I can confidently tell you I am better now than I ever have been. I trust myself more than ever and know that whatever happens I will not only be ok but I will thrive no matter what. I hear you, I see you, my reason for being back here on KZbin is to help people like you and me heal. 💗💗💗

Hi Colette... thanks so much. I used to love watching you on the shaytards and always wanted to have a big family like you. I had my first girl 3 years ago, and lost my second girl to stillbirth 3 months ago. I’ve been shattered... but through her loss I’ve found God, I’ve found my inner grit, and have been unapologetically able to speak my truth. I miss her so much, and I’m devastated... but her short life brought me so much. Thanks for this video xxxxxx

I've heard recently, that gratitude is the greatest of virtues and the parent of all others. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. There's always something to be grateful for, in the gloriousness and wretchedness of life. Agreed on the emotions. It's about how we use them as fuel. Let love write the script. I've been writing a daily gratitude page for 5 YEARS, almost 6 at the end of this year. It works and really is a superpower. I've seen it change my life in my writing and what I focus on and work to change. I have especially noticed how much more I love and have an urge to collaborate and be more generous.

When I had post partum depression, my mom encouraged me to find 5 minutes of joy in my day. She said "your whole day could be absolutely miserable" but she told me to be mindful of when I felt happy and slow down and allow myself to feel it. Because it may only be for a few minutes before it's gone. And that mindset absolutely helped me get out of some fear based thinking for sure Love your easy to digest, helpful videos!

I feel like my heart will explode from sadness any time. I try to be strong but I failed them, I am not there for them. I feel like a prisoner but I haven’t harmed anyone. I needed to hear this! I had a conversation with my friend the other day that really hit a nerve. She told me I get lost in negative thoughts. The last two days I've been dwelling on this. This dwelling has slowly consumed me, over thinking how I'm perceived. ' but I'm such a positive person'...or my favorite 'I'm like this because...' The truth is, she is right....my mind shifts to the worst possible outlook every single time. I don't mean to do it! Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it. I'm going to start a gratitude journal! I began one a few weeks ago and stopped! Time for change! Grateful for you Colette!

Thank you so much for sharing this! Its good to give ourselves grace when you recognize negative habits or patterns. Sometimes we forget that when those things show up in our lives it is because of learned patterns or past traumas so even though we need to work to change them we can have compassion for why they are showing up.

I am also so impressed with how well you can put it into a shorter video, while still hitting all the really important points. I have severe Anxiety and have been working on moving away from that fear based mind set. I feel that way on Xmas. Because everything that we celebrate is fake on that holiday. Jesus was not born on that date and we know that because of astronomical data from the time (it is just the winter solstice celebration), Santa is from a Coca-Cola commercial, we cut and kill a healthy beautiful tree, we buy stuff just because we are convinced that we have to and that this is showing love but it is a consumer industry scam, we cook and eat unnecessary amounts of food, the music and the movies are the same every year and is a masochistic experience. There are samo good things that families get together and that makes children happy + sometimes the presents makes them happy.

Can I be honest? I don’t know how to say this but with your last few videos, I found myself not wanting to watch them and I couldn’t figure out why. Just now I went to your page and saw your last 3 thumbnails in a row and realized what the reason was. I completely understand that they’re grabby phrases, but i think it subconsciously made me feel like “this is how she thinks everyone feels, including me, and now she’s going to tell me why I’m wrong.” I feel like I’m not making sense and even sounding nutty, but the negativity in the thumbnail might not be the right way to go to get your point across. I mean absolutely no disrespect, just stating my opinion. I’ve been a fan since babytard was still the baby of the family, so I hope this doesn’t come off and me being a jerk 😬🤦🏻♀️ sending lots of love and positivity your way- happy thanksgiving!! 🦃
