This video was indeed bad ass. And of course, you guys are not only rocking it, but are funny too. I truly enjoy watching your videos as impromptu as they seem to be. But I guess that's part of the draw.

I will admit that is really cool. Like the other commenter said I might have to steal the mirror behind the plexi idea. Very nice work guys.

I wonder if a polarized film or 2 way mirror layer in-between would increase the effect...

You have your LEDs turning on all at once. Have you tried bringing the intensity of the LEDs up slowly or have each LED light up one at a time. As you mentioned in another video sometimes you can over work a project as this one already has a wow factor of 10.

great ideas guys but on an esthetic plan it need improvement... it looks like you don't care about having your own signature sometimes... like rethinking the futur of a consol might be an interesting exercise... and the futur of user experience is about ergonomy... this feel like a 80's way of seeing futur... and i think about an apple mouse when i say that vs the old pc mouse... don't know if it can lead you on a new road but...

The 1980's sci-fi look is EXACTLY what we were doing! Everything you said is correct for different pieces, different styles. I'm sure we will do all or most of them in the future. Remember, this is not a conceptual or academic exercise...we are executing specific styles based on CLIENT demand.

I may have missed it in the video, but what was the cost to build this?
@GratuitousSets3 жыл бұрын
It was part of an larger alien spaceship build, so we didn't price it individually. Another video, which came out shortly after this one, shows the different puzzle mechanisms we built into them, and we added transparent "holographic" viewscreens to each console.
@mitchellholmes28503 жыл бұрын
@@GratuitousSets Got it, thank you for the reply. I am trying to build a space ship set for a church camp this summer and I am trying to budget for two console's similar to this. Is there any way you could estimate what it cost you to do one of these? I know this was several years old, but anything close to the cost would help me when I ask for my budget. Thank you :)
@GratuitousSets3 жыл бұрын
Do they include the viewscreen? With the viewscreen, materials cost is probably about $200 each in materials. You can call me for more info😜
