The log is like Landorus-T in competitive pokemon. It's not a bad thing that it's on every team, because it checks the actually broken threats and isn't frustrating to play against. It's essentially just the glue of the metagame

There was one very random nerf to The Log: sometime around 2021 (IIRC), they made it so that killing a Goblin Giant with it would not kill the Spear Goblins anymore, unlike what still happens to the Battle Ram to this day.

honestly i want to see cycle decks fall a bit, the meta's always been kept so much more stagnant than it has to be because of heavier cards generally not doing well. i don't know how they'd achieve it, but i really just want to see some heavier cards like all the giant variants, golems, pekkas, etc. cards like goblin giant or pekka are just so much more fun to play with and against than mindlessly spamming skeletons, ice spirits, and goblin barrels or hog riders.

I remember playing this game back in high-school, your channel has been bringing me back so many memories I had playing this with my friends and how we raced to 3k trophies back when that was the legendary arena lol seriously keep making these videos man. On the topic of the log tho, it may be a simple card that doesn't do much on paper but it does enough. Clearing out fodder enemies is always a major important role and that half second it can give you when it knocks something back can be the difference between a tower going down or staying up.

Adding onto the lumberjack idea, i think that whenever the executioner attacks cards like bandit and rascals, the entire match should pause when the bandit is at 1 shot range and a public execution with either a noose or a guillutine should be erected to spread fear amongst the populace and teach kids to not do the crime, if they dont wanna lose all the time they'd have if they were to not do the crime

While i do think Pekka has a big fan base (mainly bcoz of coc) I would say mini pekka is even more overrated & overhyped Midladders act like it's the best card, while in reality pros rarely use it in pro scenes & most popular decks have little to none mini pekka due to many other better alternatives

I use this deck: Sparky, EXE, Ice Golem, Dart Goblin, Tesla, Tornado, Fireball, and Log/Arrows My strategy is mainly forceful, relying on tornado to manipulate Sparky and EXE damage, while also being a beast at defense. If that won’t work, then I must be boring and do chip damage with Dart Goblin and the spells. I don’t remember if I switched to arrows at the range nerf or the 20% crown tower damage nerf, but for me, I found the range nerf to be huge, as I couldn’t react to quick cards while simultaneously hitting the tower, so I lost a lot of value. With the arrows then dealing more damage, larger area, and hitting air troops for only one elixir, I’ve switched and still thrive with it. While objectively the log nerfs weren’t much, there would still be archetypes that would make people panic (though that degree of panic was uncalled for 😂).

I find funny when people said that "Whats the matter if the usage % is high, the winrate is still balanced" My guy, if the usage is high enough, there will be a log win and lose in every match. For example Snorlax in Gen2 has a 100% usage and a 50% winrate cause in every game there is a snorlax who wins and another one who loses.

A nerf I've always wondered about applying to Log: for every troop the Log hits, its range is slightly reduced. So if there aren't any troops/buildings/etc in its way, it reaches the Princess Tower no problem. But if there are multiple troops in the way, like Skeleton Army, then its range is drastically reduced. At least, something to this effect. I'm not nearly in tune enough with this game to know the intricacies of whether it'd be better to judge this by troop number, or troop mass, or whether buildings like X-bow should slow it down, etc. Just something I've always thought about, considering how easy a card it is to cycle.

I think there was an important detail you missed in the log/small spell history, Rage was reworked to do damage and even could kill stab goblins, and do knockback so it was essentially a log that could be played anywhere on the map (This would also affect the lumberjack's rage). I personally wanted this buff to come out so badly but instead, it was given zap's damage instead of the log's. Love your content and I'm excited for whatever new video you've got cooking up.

video suggestion attempt 2: Cannon Cart might be an interesting one to cover. The only troop that turns into a building. It arrived at the same time as our infamous midladder menace, the megaknight, and has been in and out of some of the most broken deck archetypes. There are many instances where it's in the bottom of use rates but in the top of win rates, being a very underrated card. It's been changed so many times that even I have a hard time remembering. And now it's in a weird spot where it's not really used, but I can't help but keep noticing it's incredible potential in every deck I play it in. Been my favorite card since its release. (quick tip for midladder players put there, this card literally counters your opponent's entire deck. full counters witch, wizard, megaknight, executioner, ebarbs, you name it.)

It is totally outclassed by archer queen. It's a very non versatile card that works only in two archetypes (mortar bait and bridgespam).
