Yet when I mentioned Grausamkeit to them, they raised their eyebrow. It's very unlikely that a lot of people got to know about the existence of Grausamkeit back in the day, because the tapes were so limited.

I can listen to other black metal bands, no questions, but all they don't leave such a trace on my soul as the work of this genius. Nothing has ever been like him. I know it's supposed to be pa rtt of the magic, I just personally don't find poor production to be a good mark of ambience. It comes from quality material and good instrumentation. Each to there own tho. Plus as said, I can still hear what's going on here, and the musicianship is quality! This is the kinda stuff that if they did have the best equipment to use, it would probably be widely regarded as a masterpiece... But that's the problem with music these days... focus is totally in the wrong direction for most
