I totally agree, people sometimes do see anxiety as one size fits all and expect it to manifest the same in everyone. Personally I empathise with the medical anxiety, I once had a full blown panic attack because I convinced myself that my eyeballs were numb and the pupils too large and then thought I was dying because I couldn't feel anything when I closed them.

I have anxiety, and I'm ten years old. Which is not necessarily "normal". And I know that some of you might be thinking that I'm some mindless kid who thinks anxiety is just being a little nervous. But no. I know what anxiety is, and I see a counsellor. And seeing them helps a little, but I just want second opinion. Because nobody close that I see often has anxiety, but my dad. But I don't see him often. So I thought that you (bunny) could give me a free pointers? It would help alot. I have had anxiety since I was in second grade and it's hard. Especially with school districts that are basically cutting counselors and social workers in half. It's not like you can tell little Suzy that she's not allowed to get anxious on Mondays and Thursdays or something like that. But I think that getting anxious at a young age is very normal. And in case you didn't know, anxiety comes from a part of your brain called the amigdala. It gets you ready to run away and do something if it thinks there's an emergency. But when we get anxious, it's like when we burn toast in the morning and the fire alarm goes off. I would try giving your anxiety a name (I call mine Lady Sif) and when you get worried, tell Lady Sif or whoever that's everything's fine and you can handle it. That might help a little. But seeing a counselor or social worker will definitely help when you're anxious, also. You could even tell your counselor about the burnt toast fire alarm. I hope this helps!

Sequoia Ranger I have generalized anxiety and really bad panic attacks, which all started in my late teens/early 20s. I'm 28 now and I still haven't figured out to control it. If you ever feel discouraged or lonely just remember you are not broken and you're not alone. There's a few anxiety forums where you can express your feelings, thoughts, or ask people questions. I find that it helps to take deep breaths and keep your mind occupied on something to distract you from those nagging thoughts. Another thing that helps is listening to soothing sounds, like rain or the ocean, on youtube. I hope you overcome your anxiety!

The way dry erase markers work is if they dry they come of in flake smudge things but if its still wet it'll smudge so I'd just use baby wipes or Clorox wipes to get it off if you used it later
