Hey everyone...just a fun note. My Dad was a baseball fanatic so when I was born in 1954, He and my Mom named me Tris, after Tris Speaker. Since I was born a girl they added "tine" to the last part of my name so my full name is Tristine but grew up as "Tris". In my Dad's wisdom and love for baseball he also collected baseball cards as a kid. Guess who has the original mint condition baseball card of Tris Speaker...Me!! I watch you Jordon all the time and just love your vlogs but this one is a home run! (smile)

Speaker played probably the shallowest of shallow in centerfield during the dead ball era - im not sure how well it would pan out in the live ball era of today - great hitter by any standard even though he only won 1 batting title in his career - keep in mind he played in his prime at the same time as Ty Cobb, who was also in his prime - i believe it was Speaker, Cobb and Shoeless Joe Jackson, the top outfielders of their time

Don't forget to stop by New Braunfels --- "Dizzy" Dean played there for the NB Tigers. here is an excerpt from the Sophienburg museum in New Braunfels.... ----"An added bonus to your stay at Camp Placid would be to watch the New Braunfels Tigers baseball team across the street. You wouldn’t even have to go into the bleachers, you could watch from your room. The NB Tigers were organized in 1909 by Ernst Stein and for almost 43 years they were a big attraction. They played teams from all over Texas and it’s believed that the rivalry between NB and Seguin sports started with the Tigers. Crowds filled the stands to see the arguments and fist fights that regularly occurred between the rival teams. The biggest name player was major league Hall of Famer Jerome “Dizzy” Dean. The one time St. Louis Cardinal and Chicago Cubs star pitched for the Tigers while he was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston. Tigers baseball was formed by a group of men that loved the game. My dad was on that team with Dizzy Dean and he talked about it the rest of his life." And stop by Gruene Hall in Gruene,TX(Suburb of NB) Its one of Willie Nelson's places to play. Many music videos and even a few movies have been filmed there. Lots of Music history in that building.
