February 28, 2018 marked 25 years since the start of a 51-day standoff between federal authorities and members of the Branch Davidian sect in Waco, Texas. Leader David Koresh was among the 76 sect members found dead after the fire at the compound. Koresh is buried alongside his parents’ graves in a cemetery in Tyler, Texas. The grave site is adorned with silk flowers and a coat of vandal’s spray paint on the bronze marker.
