2:52 Bicyclists are allowed to ride through stop signs in Colorado as of April 13th, 2022. They signed in the "Idaho stop" into law (officially known as the "Colorado Safety Stop"), which allows a bicycle to not need to come to a complete stop, assuming it's clear to go. It isn't just for convenience, but actually saves lives because bicyclists spend less time in intersections because of not needing to start slowly from a stopped position.

I grew up in FC in the 50s and 60s and graduated from Poudre High School. I recognized many of the buildings and Mountain Ave which had the grass divider and old tracks. I was a great place to be as a kid. I used to ride my bike up Poudre Canyon and also Big Thompson Cyn. Looks like a really busy place now.

Ft Collins is one of my favorite places for gravel biking. I enjoyed your tour video! Thanks!

Loved Fort Collins, and great cycling and other outdoor activities to go along with it!

That's one reason I like the 2x , I can gear down low and enjoy a cruise threw towns and historical districts. Great tour Jom.

100%. 2X anytime for me. The gear changes are more seamless and subtle too.

Hi Jom, I live in Fort Collins and was riding around in the same area as you that weekend! We got some intense short burst rain Sunday. Darn, I wish I would've ran into you! Great stuff as always.

Awesome Jom! Fort Collins is on my bucket ride list! You should think about doing a video on best small towns for biking.

Rail transport in this country is still operating from days gone by. A mode ripe for change. Nice work here JOM. Will you be out in SteamBoat for the SBT Gravel event on the 8/14?

Thank you! Afraid not, rather, I am heading to Finland just after SBT GRVL to pre-ride the 2023 sister event, FNLD GRVL. Should be awesome, there will be video :)

Poudre is inexplicably pronounced "Poo - Ter"

Thanks!
@charliedillon14002 жыл бұрын
It's very explicable. It's French for "powder". Cache la Poudre means "powder stash". as in a place where fur traders stashed their gun powder back in the day.

Fort turned into bike hell the last 20 years. It's a little pathetic at this point. What's he doing in fc for a Boulder only event. Get on 282 & look for the flat's
