Enjoyed this park back in the late 70,s and early 80’.s I’m glad it hasn’t changed ..people can still enjoy this experience then and now ..!

In the 1960's I grew up in Washington D.C. and my dad would take us down there to watch the planes come and go, and as a little kid it was mesmerizing. Back then, the airport was called 'Washington National' call letters of DCA, but the name was changed many years ago to .Reagan National'. For a major airport it is relatively small, so all the comings and goings can be viewed from Gravelly Point.
