Farming is not for the faint of heart and THAT’S 4 SURE..!! My kudos to you & your’s, brothers. My home, for kith & kin, is Southeastern GA [the rural part, away from City Pestilence!] and we’ve traded your Georgia Red Clay for GA Sand Gnats & Gators, with Cottonmouths for dessert! Your videos keep my ‘feet planted,’ thankfully. Always Out Front🇺🇸

You don't work a Gravely, the Gravely works you. Let the machine do the work. Quit trying to force it. It's too heavy to maneuver around by the handlebars. All that weight is great for tilling/cultivating, but hard on the back if you're trying to manhandle it. You're still thinking of it like it's a small engine over tiller, it's a tractor. I did the same thing when I got mine. Once I learned to let the machine do the work, it went much easier on me.

You have a Model C8 (Super Convertible 7.6). I always keep my hand on the Fwd/Rev lever when in Rev. The rotary cultivator is better on freshly plowed ground due to the tine gearbox. For hard ground a rotary plow attachment is better. See YT videos. No previous plowing needed or cultivator use after but more passes than the rotary cultivator. Furrow width about like a single bottom moldboard plow. Use a single ag in the furrow. PaulL

I will be using the plow soon. I need to figure out how to set it up though.

@@TheRevoltingMan www.gtcoa.com > Manuals > Chip's manuals > Gravely Manuals & Parts Lists > Gardening Equipment > Rotary Plow (Old Style) Owners Manual (July 1974). It uses the upper gearbox from the rotary cultivator so that will need to be disassembled unless you have another unit. PaulL
