Teddy Diaz was the batchmate of my Grade 5 Araling Panlipunan teacher. He showed us his grade school yearbook in class. He described Teddy as a nerd in grade school. He was part of the Chess Club. Our teacher told us that you could not really tell how people will turn out. Our teacher told us how Teddy died. I had not known about The Dawn until our teacher told us about Teddy Diaz.

For the fans here of Teddy specially guitar players,here is the guitar and effects that he use The guitars most associated with Diaz are his red Casio MG-510, his Hofner Committee archtop, and his black Maya Les Paul, which he prominently used in the Ultrastorm concert with a bow in 1987. Effects he used include the Boss Power Supply And Master Switch, Boss Distortion DS1, Boss Heavy Metal, Boss Flanger BF2, Boss Digital Delay DD2. He also used the Roland Cube amplifier,and live he using his effects pedals straight to Roland Jazz Chorus 120 Amplifier Fanboy of sir Teddy 😊

I still remember when Tedy died in 1988. It was a sad day. The band is just starting and their music is being played in the radio everyday for hours. Saw them in a concert in Letran Calamba Laguna . I remember the guiitarist is Atshushi Matsuur who is Japanese. He is good but he’s not as good as Tedy, Who plays like Slash of Guns n Roses.

On 21 August 1988, The Dawn performed "Love (Will Set Us Free)" on Martin After Dark, a show hosted by Martin Nievera. After the performance, they left the GMA Network compound and went their separate ways. Diaz proceeded to his girlfriend's home in Agno Street, Tatalon, Quezon City.[1] As he was approaching the gate to the dwelling, he was accosted by two drunken men. Diaz gave them his wallet containing Php 200.00, his share of the fee from the band's earlier performance. After taking the wallet, one of the men, who was armed with a knife, began stabbing Diaz. Wounds on Diaz's left arm indicated that he may have tried to parry the blows, but a knife thrust to his throat caused massive bleeding, eventually leading to his death.

this episode about teddy's final resting place had long story and the start of my vlog... I was in LMP to search his' initially based on the film about his life story, was with Loyola memorial park as his final resting place; but... this is just in movie .. i thought ... after 2 or 3 visits of LMP i failed to locate his exact grave... then there was good lead for Manila South, but unfortunately, another fail... as teddy and his dad's remains were moved to another location.... finally; its here in santuario... thanks to the tip given by one of our viewers... I saw the crypt marker without any other informaiton... but good thing i was recently visited santuario and still familiar with the its crypt design! RIP idol teddy! RIP sir vic
