Merry Christmas!!! The Rat King turned out absolutely stunning!!! I totally envy you for buying a clean nutcracker to customize, this sounds like a dream to me! An idea I'd like to leave for a future project is a customized version of the King Rat from the Nutcracker ballet/tale. In one of the first versions, the King used to have seven rat heads, it would look super evil!

0:15 **Flashbacks to Moriah's ginger bread house last year**

my trick for putting stripes horizontally around an object is to put my posca marker on an object of appropriate height and spin the item i am painting around it. for example, i will stick my marker on top of an eraser then spin the nut cracker around it to make a level line, then find another object thats taller to make the next line. if you had a bunch of even thickness items, like a bunch of wood slices or erasers you can make them evenly spaced without measure. you would need to touch up the crack but its a good starting point.
