In UP and Bihar the baniya community has monopoly over mandis and no deal can be made without their involvement so as a result these baniyas purchase crop at very cheap rates and sell them for huge profits. In case they don't make profit then they sell the same to government at MSP. It's a win win for the middleman all the way.

This is how true functioning democracies of Germany, Denmark, France, Sweden, or Iceland work. There, governments work for the people. It's not just kids who marched but their teachers too. Where I live kids were joined by people of all ages: from young parents with toddlers on their shoulders or in prams, complete with their dogs, to grandmothers and grandfathers. I attended the marches too and it was a great experience. I was really impressed with the kids understanding of the catastrophe we are facing, their ingenuity, resolve, and their enthusiasm. Not to mention the placards some very witty, some clever, some hard-hitting. Kids prepared them. And that could be classed as lessons in artistic expression and cartoon creation. One particular placard I still remember read: "THERE ARE BETTER CABINETS IN IKEA". Referring to our pathetic do nothing Morrison cabinet in Canberra. How good is that!

The Aboriginal Australians looked after nature and there was no climate crisis. If Swedish or Aussie kids are so concerned about the environment, they should exchange places with kids in Malawi or DRC & automatically they will have a low carbon footprint. As long as there is poverty & hunger in the world, the climate is not going to be protected. You should read Bill Gates's new well researched book on Climate Change or read his interview on the matter. Greatah or rich kids of OECD countries have no business lecturing the rest of the world, about how we should live, especially, if they have no expertise on the complex subject matter and do not have any lived experience in our countries, which have a low per capita carbon footprint to begin with in the first place.

For everyone with any viewpoint: I am a son of a farmer family from eastern UP. My family gets 1200 for the wheat whose msp is 2300. Where does the rest go ? No one knows. The middlemen manipulate us so well that we couldn't counter. We didn't have roads. The govt has built some during past 4 years, but still much needs to be done. We didn't have irrigation facilities till 2014. This govt came and instantly started working on irrigation facilities. If not for this, we'd have been paying 500 for a tanker every week. We are not given subsidies on paddy cultivation, which farmers from Punjab get. We do not have access to good fertiliser like they get. We don't even have access to market because of transportation issues. We have seen the severest of difficulties because we are sma farmers with small lands, unlike punjabi farmers who have lots of resources. Many of us don't even have tractors. If we have to protest for anything, we can't go beyond our villages, because one day absence will lead our families to hunger. All I want to say is, it is only the resourceful farmers who are protesting. The poor farmers, for whom this law is intended, are not even able to participate even if they want to. Punjabi farmers are afraid of their monopoly getting endangered if poor farmers from around the nation start exporting their produce. Period.

Why the Suicide rate of farmers are high in down South but very very less in Punjab and Haryana? 2. Why the the farmers of Punjab and Haryana are financially rich compared to rest of Indian farmers?

Actually everything was between these but a toolkit was shared by greta that clearly was to instigate violence and it was having nothing to do with the farmers protest or the bills instead it was telling people about the 1984 communal riots and all which can easily create tensions around the public and it was used during the republic day and greta shared it after the republic day so offcourse everything is clear that 26th jan incident was well organized for violence. That's why in the history of 70 years first time MEA of India came out with a statement for this.
