Going nuclear is the equivalent of two people who are fist-fighting, stopping the fist-fight, pulling out their guns and blowing their own brains out at the same time in mutual suicide. "Worried about military build up by China"... They know military capabilities of China are way less than USA and Europe, they also know China has never been interested in getting involved in wars. The real reason here is pressure by American and European corporations from different markets that see Chinese corporations as big threats to their dominance and monopolies. That's why they keep lobbying and pressuring governments to get confrontational with China and involve them in a conflict that will decimate their economy. The belt and road initiative, Chinese corporations in the highly lucrative EV market, metal industries, alternative energy (wind, solar, etc) industries and the ever expanding semiconductor industry inside China (fuelled by the bans of American semiconductor components to China) among others are big concerns for west corporations that don't want any competition. This is the reason so many media outlets, like this one, keep pushing the fear mongering of China wanting to attack everyone. Use common sense, China can do way more harm economically to any country than getting involved in a military conflict. As an example, the biggest market for the American corporations Ford, GM and Tesla outside of the United States is China, they sell more vehicles there than in the rest of the world. Guess what will happen if right now China implements a temporary ban on the selling of American branded vehicles inside China...that will wreak havoc on those three corporations and their revenue will plummet, causing a snowball effect on the American car industry. Losses will be on the billions. All that damage without firing a single missile or moving a single troop. China doesn't need to get in wars to make things going forward.

Hindsight is 20/20. Lots of people say, "from 2014 till 2022 the world knew Russia wanted Ukraine. Why were no weapons sent then? Russia would have never invaded." Now Lithuania is blocking train routes between two Russian territories and Russia is talking about invading Lithuania. So NATO has learned, this time they are pre-positioning 300,000 troops in Eastern Europe to make sure Russia understands attacking a NATO nation is the opening move of WW3. Right now China re: Taiwan looks like Russia re: Ukraine in 2008. The intentions are clear. The Chinese are undertaking the largest military build up in all of human history. All of it focused on Taiwan. If that doesn't set up alarm bells everywhere, then people have buried their heads in the sand. Not putting weapons into Ukraine sooner caused Ukraine to be invaded. Not putting weapons into and around Taiwan sooner will lead to Taiwan being invaded. After the invasion China will be sanctioned, but by then it is too late to save Taiwanese lives. And sanctioning China will hurt the world. It will hurt China more, but if there is a path to avoid all that, better to take that path.

Have you been to Russia? Its a 3rd world country and an autocracy. 17% of the population lives in poverty despite massive income from natural resourses. That is what Russian mir (peace) is. It is noting even remotely close to for example Pax Romanum. A life in poverty and fear, that is all Russia can bring to any country.

@@alphaomega6966 First world is directly responsible for human suffering across the globe they have abused their power and it won't continue forever there is a limit to how much inequality any system can handle before is falls flat on its knees and yess Russia my not have that much wealth but is standing against a tyrant. Enough of Amerikans waging war, toppling govts and putting sanctions just so that they can have all the resources for themselves. When there is child mining cobalt or lithium in some mine of Africa putting his life at risk he/she gets nothing in return but an American gets to drive his new tesla. U would blame it on there corrupt govt but it's the first world that is benefiting from their installed puppets in such countries currently world is nothing but a colony of the first world. So yes I am with Russia on this one.
