Their loan is $230 Billion and they have population of 230 million. i.e each pakistani will have a debt of 1000 $ or 2.3lakhs Pakistani rupees. This is why school education is important. 1. India is a big country with several income generating sources. Pakistan is a small country. How many big economies fail due to higher debt to GDP ratio? What is the debt to GDP ratio of Japan? Italy? Canada ? France ? USA? Quoting only the debt-to-gdp ratio is very stupid argument. 2. India's credit rating is BBB (stable). Pakistan's credit rating is B- (negative). How is that possible? LOL 3. You are missing a key factor. That is external debt. 80 % of the India's total debt is domestic and only 20% is foreign. India needs forex to pay off the external debt. Pakistan has mostly external debt at a high interest rate (4% charged by China). This is where Pakistan fails as it has very low forex reserve. Domestic debt is never a problem for any government. People don't understand this simple common sense and blabber things on social media. Never talk about a thing you don't understand.
