Every true Indian cannot deny the fact that Tamil Nadu is one of the most developed state in India. This is true in all social indicators, be it state GDP growth, Industrial output, Women participation in employment, or in Education and Health sector. TN tops in indicators like Graduate Enrollment Ratio. All these did not happen over night. Whether one like it or not, the dravidian movement paved the way for this growth by giving more importance to education and Self Respect than caste system. Of course, caste discrimination still exists in Tamil Nadu as there are still people who are backward and don't want to go beyond in their life. What's wrong in that? In fact, that is the beauty of India. True Indian and people who really love India respect all languages in India. The state's economics is in display in its development and its numbers. If you want to compare it with other developed states like Karnataka and Maharashtra, please do so and understand the numbers by yourself. The point is simple, TN is developed.. Children are getting free education and free food at school are education.. Women participation in workforce is far more in TN than in any other states in India (one of the reasons is free bus pass for women in TN). It is upto you. Sanatan Dharma is like an ocean. Its depth and breadth are unimaginably vast and boyond one's understanding. Thats why so many unfortunate utterances are made about this wonderful religion . Caste system is a theory of evolution. Its only a small optional part of the dharm. . It concerns only with the body and not with ones soul. Sanatan Dharma on the other hand goes beyond body and teaches how Atma and atma gyan can be realised. According to Sanatan Dharma, Atma is omniscient, omnipresent and Omnipotent. Its not tainted by caste system or any defilement that comes with our body. Sanatan Dharma's ultimate goal is to raise individual's consciousness to the highest spiritual goal of Atma Gyan or self realisation. "Sanathana" this word could be seen in Anushasanika Parva of Mahabharata i.e Vishnusahranama Verses 96 Sana means in all time, tana means exist, Tama means Control. In this Shloka it has been mentioned "Sanatanatamaha" .

Sanatan Dharma does not perpetuate caste system. Sanatan Dharma says people should perform their duties without being attached to the results. All glory, all results are nobody else's but God's. Which means that a brahmin's duty should not be seen as superior compared to that of a sudra. However, the more we have strayed from dharma, the more we have indulged our senses. We have let greed and pride tell us that we are better than others. This is why caste discrimination exists in our society. Sanatan dharma right now is more important than it has ever been.

Its a belief that if touched someone over the silk cloth the untouchable is gone. The superstitious word 'theettu' means: untouchable (as per Hindu religion). The following dogmas is still in practice without knowing its true self : If a high caste person touches a dalit; that is theettu(untouchable). Even on the new cloth was not allowed to the Dalits. If so then a small dot of turmeric had to be marked ..... I am from Kerala where 5he highest level of untouchability was practiced even today to some extent it is still there. Periya was instrumental with many others to initiate and make the vaikom satyagraha a true demonstration of removing untouchability. Lalsalam.
