Let me break it down for you. TMC is a West Bengal Party, a state party you can say. BJP is a national party. While TMC has a strong grip on West Bengal's political scene, BJP doesn't. And that is because BJP is too spread on a national level. Whereas TMC is condensed down to one state only. Also BJP has its entire focus on its national leader whereas TMC is focused on its State Leader. While the people of Bengal are Indian ofc, they must look after their own backyard first which means, looking at which party is more active and seen on a state level. That's for the State Elections though. When it comes to National level, Mamta Banerjee will never match Narendra Modi. She will never be a Prime Minister because she's limited to, and I'll say it again, one state only. If this wasn't enough to get in your head idk what will. It's like saying the politics of a village is the same as the politics of the entire state. This doesn't work like that.
