The thing about Miro Heiskanen: you can't judge him solely based on the highlight reels he creates. He's best judged by the highlight reels he prevents! It's how he consistently shuts down 2 on 1's against him. How he skates backwards faster than most can skate forwards, and how the best puck-handlers still can't avoid his stick. It's how forecheckers consistently miss when they try to plaster him against the boards. And how effortlessly he can transition with the puck on his stick. These are not what get you ranked high by hockey writers. But it is what wins games!

Glad u asked how we Canuck fans feel about this list having Pettersson only at 16.....I gotta say I didn't even know he was that low because when I just got to 60 and saw Quinn Hughes there I immediately called the cops to report this crime, so I didn't get to finish watching this list.

Noah Dobson has 100 points over the last two season for a team that can't buy a freakin goal to save their life. In that time span he is the 19th best defenseman in terms of offense while the Islanders are 25th in offense and 23rd on the PP. And he's only 23. I don't even like the Islanders... But saying that having his name even in the honorable mentions is an insult, shows how underrated this guy is.

As a Canuck fan, a couple of things. First off...Quinn Hughes is pretty much the 2nd best defenceman in the NHL right now. He's already proving it. Even if you don't realize it....60? Seriously? Eastern media asleep when he plays.... Second, Boeser ahead of JT? That's absolutely ridiculous. He's off to a hot start, but come on. No way he's finishing this year better than Miller. (hope he proves me wrong)

Not surprised for Suzuki not making it, since he's still pretty far from a point per game and not a Selke candidate while being far from physical, speedy or a good face-off guy … to be frank he doesn’t crack top20 maybe even 25 as center, now consider that this list include all positions and it makes total sense, from a Montreal fan.

He's been improving big time on face-offs and getting better at both ends of the ice while also not missing a single NHL game in the last 2 seasons staying healthy while being such a great leader! At such a young age as well too while playing with rookies and 4th liners most of the season and being on a rebuilding team.. should of easily been an honorable mention.

yeah that one is ridiculous. I think he's already probably the 2nd best defenceman in the league after Makar and he's already starting to prove it. He has more career NHL points in fewer games than Fox, HIskanen or Seider. He's defensive numbers are very good and only getting better. And with the exception of Seider, has been playing on a far far worse team. Typical east coast media. They simply don't watch him play or even pay close attention to the numbers. They just think "oh...Fox won the Norris so he must still be better." After this season they'll all look at Hughes with surprise about how well he played but to those paying attention he's already doing it.
