how you define each size in element size part? did you have literatures for that?

Based on experience and visual inspection to see how distorted after meshing compared with original cad shape. Larger size of element size, then more distorted. Remesh with smaller size. Then go to mesh element quality check to ensure convergence during calculation.

Sir how to fix if my software cannot executing VisualCAST. In the Procast just say " Please run Procast for at least one step before executing VisualCAST". I was confused about what that meant, even though the software was running.

Hi. Greetings to you and everone in Indonesia. For your request, a horizontal centrifugal casting, so far I using Procast I never work on this case. Procast support gravity casting, low pressure die casting, high pressure die casting, and investment casting. I guess horizontal centrifugal casting is not one of the capability.

I believe so. Horizontal centrifugal casting is a unique casting method in industry. Not many application there, not many manufacturer use it. Therefore software developer seen it as very niche market. Not a promising market to develop the software. Many well-known casting simulation software are not supporting for this process. You may consider other special purpose casting simulation software for this case, if available. Or if not available, then you need to use general simulation software with some modification and very difficult detail setting. A general simulation software that fully support both thermal and fluid flow. Also suppory solidification (from fluid to solid) and phase change.

after doing every steps when i am clicking on start simulation it shows a massage "unable to open formatted in put file piece.dat" also when i am clicking on monitor it shows me " C:\programme files (×86)\ESI Group\Procast\2016.0\dat\startpro\piece.stat is not available can anyone help me soving this problem

@@betinhocr You cannot simulate only the part, since casting process are related between its components. Impossible produce a casting part without mold base, riser, runner system,etc. Each components contribute to the final casting product, and heat transfer happened between components.
