Wow! This is amazing! Thank you for going into detail about the internal structure. Just wondering though, is that one nut really enough to keep that top tier secure, especially if you have to deliver it to a customer? Asking genuinely because I’d love to do a cake like this some day!

Thank you!! :) yes I had zero issues with the top tier, but it was only a 4 inch so pretty small. If you wanted to make it bigger or just add more reinforcement, you could add the nut, then the washer, then your cake board, and another washer/nut on top and make sure it's super tight. Then you would cover in your tin foil tape, stack and ice your cake directly onto the threaded rod/cake board, and cover in fondant. Little trickier since your assembling on the threaded rod but totally doable. Another option is using a dummy cake for the top so it's nice and light. I hope all of that made sense lol

It is a super cool cake!! I am thinking of doing a 3 tier with a glass bowl where you have the icecream cone in your cake. So I won't be able to have a rod through the center of everything.
