Stan's hatred of the town festival is more and more relatable as I get older. "Ben Franklin secretly was a woman!" is a callback to a scene in the second episode - one of Stan's 'family bonding' times was the kids helping him make counterfeit money. He criticized Mabel's drawing skills by saying, "You call that Ben Franklin? He looks like a woman!"

as a person with anxiety and autism, i relate to mable a lot in this episode. i’ve always been “silly” and lighthearted. growing up i was pushed by my parents to mature quickly and grow up basically which might be the main cause of my anxiety. watching this episode was like a breath of fresh air for me. it was like the episode was telling me tht i don’t have to change myself for anybody. this is such a comfort show for me. can’t wait for yall to watch the next episode is also one of my faves(😭tbh i love them all).
