when i saw the white spots while you still had the shirt outside and then in the basin i was thinking uh uh. after you showed the result i was thinking that the white added to the shirt with how the movement around the white spots looked. nice job Angie! nice colors. i haven't made a mandala yet but it is on my bridges-to-cross list.

Love this process, Angie! Colors are beautiful too! About how many times do you have to change the hot water soaks when using the blues and purples? Thanks again for a great tutorial!

Thank you so much! I'm not really sure how many times I change the water. It varies depending on how heavy-handed I was with the dye and the blues/purples I used. I usually change it at least 3 or 4 times though. Blues seem to be so tough to get fully rinsed.

@@FunEndeavors I swear mine are never fully rinsed when it hits the washer! Some go in completely dark but come out amazing! Once enough time has passed and the soda ash rinsed the color shouldn't migrate and bond. So far it's worked out for me letting the washer handle the last of the dye :)
