For Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge, and Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan, Funimation paid to have over 10 songs be used in the films. For the second Broly feature, they brought in a new band which consisted of some people from Gravity Pool (1 drummer, guitarist but no Vince Mullins) and they only produced 5 songs to use.

Funimation went so hard for the Broly soundtrack. DBZ needs more metal. Don't get me wrong, the bigband/techno vibe the japanese soundtrack has is phenominal and captures the energy, but Broly needed metal. he's too brutal for a normal soundtrack.
