Grays Peak was my second 14er, the first being Torreys on the same hike. I think I was still in high school when I did them.

The mountain goats are pretty docile, they have no reason to fight humans and will only fight other animals if really threatened with young or in food scarcity. The latter being rare, since they eat basically any grasses or shrubs. Still a good idea to keep distance and let them be wild. I've heard they are delicious when slow cooked and shredded like pulled pork.

@@AndyParrishOutdoors Unfortunately I suspect you are correct. Good message in the video to remind people to avoid the temptation to feed them. The back country isn't a petting zoo hahaha

It took us 3 and a half hours to climb. We hung out at the summit for about 45 minutes. It took us about 2 and a half hours to make it back to the cars.

6:45 total time... 3:30 to climb, just under an hour at the top... About 2:20 to get down...
