been whale watching my whole life, SF Bay/Monterey/Alaska/Southern CA and seen whales up close and far away, but never got to give baleen scritches.

We have slaughtered them in their millions and they still want to interact with us we really have a lot to learn

They are too close to the moving whales. Get out of their personal space. Fair if boats are stationary and whales approach you but otherwise this is so wrong. In Australian waters you must keep your distance.
