'Allen called LE because he KNEW he was spotted, and was trying to get ahead of things in setting up an alibi. Should never have taken years to put things together, but here we are. Gray's detailing of everything is amazing....vs. places like CTV where some hosts suggest Allen might "not be the guy". I come here for rationality and sanity!

Thank you for the recap, Gray! The moe people that are just now covering this case, I'm reading some really whacky theories in the comments section. Of course the creators can't refute them, they're so unfamiliar with the facts of the case.

I was thinking the hair was likely from Libby's household as you told us about how Abbey had the sleeves of Libby's sweatshirt puuled over her hands.

And in her sister make one of the girls wear a jacket out of the car? I'm probably butchering this memory but I remember them not wanting to wear jackets and the sister telling that they had to wear jackets/coats and I think one of them was the sisters which would easily explain a rogue hair

I wondered if RA got into an argument with the girls as they walked onto the bridge and he was walking off of it. He lost his temper and decided to cross back over to the south end to confront them. The heinous way the girls were killed indicates a real hatred.
@glamdolly303 сағат бұрын
Your work superimposing the video of 'Bridge Guy'/Richard Allen onto the larger image of the bridge, providing a full view of him stalking Libby and Abby before abducting and killing them, is superb. No one else has achieved your level of visual representations of the Delphi crime scene. Respect. I'm often surprised at the poor quality of professional TV news journalists' reports/analysis on this, and indeed other notorious crimes. As you rightly say, it's usually because the reporter doesn't know the case particularly well, so can't join the dots or offer the strong insights of someone like yourself who knows it backwards from Day One. It's going to be especially frustrating in this trial, due to the judge's Draconian ban on all recording equipment from the court. We are totally reliant on the journalists present to tell us the full story. I pray one or two of them are up to the job! I haven't heard anyone talk about Libby's cellphone in any detail, or the fact the killer left it behind at the crime scene. Obviously it's the dynamite piece of evidence in this double homicide, as it gifted police video both visual footage and audio of Richard Allen, on a silver platter (and they still couldn't identify him for five long years - DAMN!) You've probably discussed the cellphone in your past shows. We can only speculate of course, but it's surprising to me that the killer left that phone behind at the crime scene. After all, most teens carry a phone nowadays. I'd have expected him to ask the girls for their cellphones, in order to confiscate and destroy them (particularly as he made them undress). He could then have thrown them/it in the creek, destroyed the simcard(s), etc. Kind of slapdash of him not to search the girls for cellphones isn't not, not least because they can reveal the victims' location? Maybe he did ask them, and they denied having a phone with them. Or it's possible in the excitement of acting out his twisted fantasy, he forgot about such practicalities. It's also feasible he was interrupted (or feared he was) so had to flee. Regardless, he'd have likely been in a hurry to leave the scene undetected after killing both girls. Intriguing that Libby's phone was recovered under Abby's body. I guess this could be because she was wearing Libby's clothes, and it fell out of a pocket. Presumably only Libby had a phone that day? Do you think Allen was totally unaware that Libby had recorded him? If so, she did an excellent job getting that video of him surreptitiously, without him realising. Libby had hoped to work in law enforcement in some capacity (forensics I think). It's beyond ironic she made such a critical contribution to solving her own, and her pal Abby's, murders. God bless her.

232pm to 357 is not a long time but also, from what we've seen with Idaho, killing doesn't take a long time. I think they ran across and he got one of them and so the other came back to try and just comply and possibly save the other. He made them both strip and I have a feeling he couldn't,um,,, come to attention...
