We had a cabin on Lake Margrethe for 40 something years. We sold it after my parents passed away and I still miss the area. Great video and presentation!!

Just moved to Fredric just north of grayling for my wife's job her office is in grayling and before moving here other then a few trips to hartwick pines when I was younger. But now that I live here I explore a lot of my surroundings on my atv and I am falling in love with the area and really enjoying the rivers always been a fly fishermen so really loving that the river are mainly fly only. Other cool thing I've spent a lot of time in the woods around the country and different areas of Michigan but after sending millions of hrs in the mich woods I've found several plants and reptiles oh and birds I've never seen before in my travels and that is really neat to me. Just plain loving and glad I moved to the area.

That's awesome. Somethings are just meant to be. Northern Michigan is 'home' for me (River). I've been to Fredric more times than I can count too! Next time I head that way, give me a shout!

We also have a family reunion every year at our family cabin. Glad you have the honor and opportunity to be together with those you love in your stomping ground. Your video reminds me of home.

Saw your video today after spending the weekend in Atlanta . I think I’m going to be spending many more weekends in that area. Just tired of life.

Having basically grown up in Grayling and staying 4 weeks every Summer, I want to come back permanently. Dad was in the Nat. Guard so 2 weeks then and next month was another 2 weeks at Hartwick Pines when there was only 47 camp sites. The park naturalist...Wendell Hoover would walk the camp and personally invite you to a nature program that evening and he would explain his park knowledge. I'm 57 and still want to call Grayling home some day!!

Jakeo, so wonderful to hear this. We love this place with our whole heart. Even when we are not physically there, we carry it with us too. Maybe we will see you in town one day =]

I too spent two weeks a summer there. Pops was in the 156th signal bat..... We stayed at the campground right outside the base.. In the early 70s great memories... Young girls I met, Fred bears museum. Met him too although I had no idea who he was at the time.

I grew up going to a friends cabin right on the shores of lake Margarite. We would take the pontoon boat out onto the lake and just lazaly go around the whole lake.

That's awesome. VERY familiar with Lovells. The fuel station has the most amazing wet jerky. I seriously look forward to it all year. I hear the old hotel has new ownership too!

Pretty envious of that ATV action hah. Always great to get back home and spend time with family. Being from Ohio it really pains me to say this but it is gorgeous up there. Thanks for sharing once again.

Looks like a great spot to enjoy and relax for sure, especially with family! Have never been to that area before, just did the west coast route, hoping to head that way next!

Do it. There are parts of Northern Michigan that look like the Caribbean on sunny days! So worth it.

That’s cool. Other night I went for walk and sounded like thousands bird 🐦 in the tree but only was like 10. Then 20 min later they’re all gone.

Crazy! It's always so nuts when you see what looks like a black cloud but it's actually all birds!

Gorgeous views. The one dead tree looked like a giants cane. You find fairytale land everywhere. Saw ur dad being the warbler whisperer. Separate note, you look more slim. I can see it in your face. And, as always, hoping all is well with your family. Tell Allison hello from me.
