Since parochial school I always carried a brief case which evolved into a messenger bag later. As far as not drawing attention to yourself, cheaper is better. Avoid any trendy logo or recognizable products.

Great product review, Jack. Does the hidden pocket come lined with velcro like the others? I am thinking ballistic panel nearer the body and firearm in hidden pocket with top flap turned in for fingertip punch through and quick weapon extraction.

Good idea that velcro pouch, you can put more essential items in there and noise of the velcro coming apart is early warning if someone does find it. More non-essential items in easier to find places or decoy wallets with expired credit cards etc with name and signature scrubbed off. Looks like a nice bag all round really. Not the type that I would wear though.

They also offer a smaller sling bag if this is too big. I have one and love it. No one would know that it has a pistol, light, mags, leatherman and a trauma kit.

Great video! Thanks for the overview. Is it just me, or is this the size of a small backpack? It seems awfully big for a messenger bag. Is it too big, or does it just seem that way from the camera angle? How does it compare in size to say, a medium Alice, or an M3 medic bag?

Nice looking bag. I don't believe in off body carry but if I were to do this I'd run both zippers to the near corner that way you only have to pull one zipper to have access to the pistol. Then trash that holster set up and Velcro in a good kydex holster which allows a simple draw. My question is this. What do you do with the bag when you take it off your body? I just know if I used this system I'd eventually put the bag down and later walk away from it. Not a good situation.

Nice bag. Thanks for the review Jack. I've been keeping an eye out for a less tactical looking back pack or bag that I can carry. Maybe it's just me, but I think a woman carrying a tactical back pack sticks out like a sore thumb.(some of the guys do too for that matter) A more discreet back pack or bag is what I'd be going for. This might just fit the bill.

i agree, it's not easy for women to find a functional bag with enough pockets, easy access, not too heavy with ordinary. Most of them are pretty tactical, and women carrying that are obvious eye catching...

Anything that big/new says "Resources"/laptop etc that even w/o SHTF will draw a smash/dash thug. Something even thinner, many laptops are that small and worth something to resource predator, yank it over your head from behind and be off. Gone or the days of messenger bags carrying paper mish-mash for some corp type or grad student.

I have never been in a gunfight, but from the videos that I have seen here on KZbin, a critical part of concealed carry is being surreptitious. Especially in deployment in many cases. How many times have we seen folks feign fear and act in a totally cowed manner, only to moments later kill the perp with a concealed weapon? All with on-body carry. Now, I carry a Maxpedition Vesper messenger bag for my EDC, and it also has a concealed carry pocket in the rear. But after seeing the referenced videos, I don't use it. The reason... it isn't sneaky enough. Neither is this bag. The zippers make noise, drawing attention. In the instances that I referred to, it was quietness and stealth that set the perp up. Hard to do that while ripping Velcro or sliding a zipper.

+brazen30 I understand and, I wholly endorse what you said, with one caveat... there is a certain percentage of encounters where cold, rational, calculating stealth must be employed. For instance, there is a maxim... you never draw on a drawn gun. By that, it is meant, that you never react immediately with deadly force to a weapon in your face. You are far more likely to come out on top, by exercising deception and stealth making the perp believe you are no threat , waiting until the focus is off of you and onto someone or something else. Then you draw and enter the fight. That can only be done effectively, IMHO, by on-body carry. I may be wrong and, I am willing to listen to arguments to the contrary, but the evidence on videos from around the world, suggests that I am correct.
