Im pretty sure a lot of these games were designed specifically to distract you while it harvests personal data, phone numbers, and banking information from your phone. So it makes sense for it to be built to be minimally entertaining without getting annoying enough to immediately uninstall. Ideally you play it for a few minutes and then forget to uninstall it or remove all the permissions you gave it when you installed.
