Fun fact: if you are threatened by loss of life (or someone else's) then most crimes are forgiven because you were under duress. This does not apply to any crimes that would hurt or kill someone else though. Examples include: harboring a criminal or stealing something are ok, but killing someone is not. Not to say you won't get arrested, but charges may not be brought upon you or you would be found innocent.
