You know what the greatest trickery of this board is? This level most certainly had a way out. If you look at how the 9 circles of hell are arranged, you will see that the first level is limbo, then underneath it lust, then gluttony, then greed, wrath, heresy, etc. This means that the closest Gray has ever been to the exit was at the very beginning of the level, when he was in limbo. For the rest of the game, Gray is tricked into thinking that he's escaping, when he was actually only going deeper and deeper. It's a shame that Gray had to stop at level 7, he could have met the game creator on level 8.
