I like the way you do your tutorials, they are very easy to understand. To prepare for the tutorial I was looking for the length of rope to use and one comment was 6 feet and another said 7. It would so much easier if the cord lengths and finished dimensions were given in the tutorial. That way we can follow you and complete the project and not waste cord. Please forgive if you did give the information and I missed it.

I recreated this with 3 mm cord which was much more tedious to get some length on it but absolutely LOVE the outcome! I dyed the bottom fringe orange and it’s beautiful and ties in with the rest of my decor perfectly! Thank you for the thorough tutorial.

finally, I found someone who makes this seem doable. I spent about an hour and a half trying to do leaves by attempting to slow down another person's video to see what they are doing and I just couldn't see good to do it (how do they call it a tutorial, then?) You took the mystery out. THANKS!

I love this and would like to make something similar for my front porch to create a sort of privacy curtain- do you recommend a different cord for outdoor hangings?

I love your tutorials, especially since I am new to macrame. I want to do the leaf pattern for a 9 inch wide by 67 inch long window and am wondering how long my ropes need to be. I am new and want to get it right. Please help.

I don’t work with 3mm rope very often so it’s hard for me to guess how much rope would be needed. But it’s usually suggested to use 4x - 6x your final desired length. Since you are using a thinner rope, I would assume 4x should work. I always cut more rope than I think I will need. If you cut too much, you can use the left over rope for different projects. If you don’t cut enough, there are ways to add more rope. Hope this helps some 😊
