@@bilirubinator Yes, as I've mentioned before I am not very experienced. I'm pretty sure that most if not all of the people who make these kinds of covers use midi tracks and plugins. The reason this particular song took me so long was because: A: It was very hard to make it work in this style, as it still sounds very modern. B: The plugins I use have very limited options, so I have to work around that, and they also slow down my computer to the point where I often have to export the songs first before I listen to them and figure out where I made a mistake. It often takes a long time for the song to get exported as well.
@bilirubinator4 жыл бұрын
Graywyck Well if you are inexperienced I understand the struggle, we have all been there. Sorry for calling you out about it. I’m still gonna stand by that for you, as an aspiring producer, it does not look good when you state that one of the most genre crossed covers of all time was hard work to incorporate it to another genre. Listen to more medieval pieces to get the feeling of what makes medieval sound medieval, chill it with the percussion and work more on it. I hope you’ll see that I don’t mean this in a menacing way, I hope you’ll take it what I say into concideration in your future productions so you improve. Some direct pointers: try to change the velocity of the chords so they sound more natural and less robotic.

Because the world is unable to grasp greatness.
@Brieflyme4 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't that just be Folk Metal? And "core" is used for punk genres.
@SeymoreSparda4 жыл бұрын
Cause "Bardcore" implies that the genre belongs on the hardcore/extreme punk side of spectrum, tho I think metalcore,deathcore,grindcore,crust,powerviolence snd mathcore bands that plays music that is highly-influenced by folk music fall into this category too. The term you are looking for is ACTUALLY folk metal. Celtic,viking...anything that falls under the folk umbrella,basically. Tho the "bardcore" that are emerging right now is actually the specific medieval revival of modern music. Folk punk already exists, but extreme folk punk music? Somebody, enlighten us on this,please.
@zelosjr4 жыл бұрын
@@SeymoreSparda Yeah but can you explain why the genres of "hardcore" music are basically the furthest thing possible from something that would actually fit the definition of the word "hardcore"? Is it supposed to be ironic?
@SeymoreSparda4 жыл бұрын
@@zelosjr Okay, strap yourself down, cause this may get nerdy a bit. by going through the Merriam-Webster dictionary, we can see that hardcore punk is "the purest or most basic form of punk rock" (Adj.entry 1.no.3.) and its fans are "the central or fundamental and enduring groups of punk rock fans", probably militant in nature (noun,entry 2. no.1.a., plus b.). If the original punk rock was stripped down rock n' roll, then, hardcore punk is stripped down punk rock, stripped of its "more artsy elements". The purists in the scene consider those who enjoy it for the artsy part as pretenders, hence, the militant part. Also, if you look at the 1.b. definition of the adjective "hardcore", then you'll see that, supposedly, hardcore punk fans are supposedly "the confirmed, or die-hard" group of punk rock fans. Remember, the militant part,again? People didn't think that the term "fundamental punk" rolls off the tongue well, I guess. Too long. "Basic" has a negative connotation, tho. Even sonically, hardcore punk is stripped down significantly compared to the original. It's not just sped up.
