I first met Rossi at the 2000 Suzuka 8 hour race and have been a fan ever since that day. It's sad to see him leave, but life is a vicious cycle. He has been such a great ambassador for the sport and brought a ton of new fans into MotoGP from around the globe. It will be a long time before we see another multi-year champion with his charisma in the paddock.

sorry your wrong; we will NEVER see another rider with his charisma again, 26 years i have followed his career and in that time no one has come close, the fact were still here even tho Rossi hasn't been competitive for a few years shows that "were not glory hunters"

@Insane Engine any other world champ who's last years without being a title contender their fans seem to move to the next world champ but we have known for many years Rossi's 10th title was not going to happen, wins were rare, made podium a few times but the fact so many of us are dearly going to miss him after all these years since his last title proves we are not just "Glory hunters". i think he should present Motogp grid walks next season

I don’t think he did that so he couldn’t cry. If you ever rode a motorcycle before you know that like anything over 25 - 30 mph makes your eyes water. You have to drop the visor if you don’t wanna have a whole bug in your eye

Still remember how my uncle bring me to Sentul back in 1997 when 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc are racing in Indonesia. I was 4 on that time, my uncle took me there just for 125cc and then back home. I ask him who is the winner, Valentino Rossi he says. From there until now, THAT WAS THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME I MET HIM IN PERSON EVEN I'M JUST WATCH HIM AT TRIBUNE. Shit I'm crying again. When Casey, Dani, Jorge and Cal said to stop from MotoGP, it doesn't mean they really stop. They still be a test rider and maybe have a chance for wildcard as like Pedrosa. But when Vale said stop, it mean he will stop forever. No test rider, no chance for race again.

when i saw the title of this Rossi video "The Last Lap" all i could think of was "Catalunya 2009" probably the greatest "Last Lap" in Motogp history, for me being UK it is more memorable than Hamilton's "is that Glock?" Last Lap. He was a devil at the way he would follow the leader for 99% of the race then mug them on the last lap to snatch victory - but Catalunya 2009 - to do it last corner of the last lap i was as mental as his pit crew when he crossed the line, Epic moment
