If we assume 80% of penalties are made, then the odds of missing 9 pens in a row, (like in that Japanese game) are 1,953,125 to 1!

:) but if the 4 first was no goal was funniest. From finale score 1-0. And the math was quite wrong. From missing 9 penalty in a row must start the combo with miss. Was 1/390.625 Is deference miss the 2 first penalty from miss 2 in a row.

@@sohaibyssef2602 I'm 37, I guess still a 'kid' for my parents. Probably wouldn't be talking about 2002 WC if I was a Gen Z'er. Nah, Italy lost fair and square. FIFA never said it was rigged, they said it was coincidence and a matter of exceptional circumstances. Neither did they fire that referee, he resigned himself after threats on him from Italians. He still gets money from FIFA, so I doubt it was "rigged". Sadly, threats are Italy's way of life, that is one reason why mafia is so prevalent in Italy. Italians think he's corrupt because corruption is their way of life, they're all immature. Don't go blame referee Moreno or FIFA, blame yourselves.

Fun Fact: 1.Lahm and Alonso had replicated the same penalty misses from John Terry in 2008 UCL Final. Both had mistakenly kicked the ball in the same direction as Terry's ones, though Lahm's one hit wider instead of actually being hit the goalpost like Alonso's. 2.Why you didn't mention the following games: -Steaua Bucuresti vs Barcelona 2-0 in 1986 European Cup Final. -Switzerland vs Ukraine 3-0 in 2006 World Cup R16. -Portugal vs Chile 3-0 in 2017 Confederations Cup Semifinal.
