@The Organic Chemistry Tutor, could you create a course on GMAT, especially, the quantitative section? Going over Data Sufficiency and problem-solving questions starting from the basics? I bet a lot of people will pay for that including myself. Especially for those who need to take the GMAT for their MBAs. Please let me know if you will, so I can be on the lookout.

Great video! Quick Q: for #39. The question did asked how many cans she needed to paint the house, not how many *more* cans. Your final answer was 10.5, but I think it should have been 13.5 because you have to add the first can.

@gradgoals3011 6 жыл бұрын
I was thinking that in the first place, but the answer is actually 10.5 The answer would be 13.5 if the question was, "how many cans are required to finish THE ENTIRE house?" Since the question asked, "how many cans of paint are required to finish THE REST of the house?" , we need to subtract what we already have. I hope it helps.

q10 the answer is d because in x= 1/2 x^2= 1/4 and 7x+4 = 15/2 in this case column b is greater and since there is a case where a is greater than b and there is a case where b is greater than a, the correct answers is d because it can not be explicitly determined because of contradiction.

X is between 0 and 1, so if x = 0.1, x^2 = 0.01 and 1/x^2 = 1/0.01 = 100. Therefore, 1/x^2 is greater than 1/x as long as 0

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I work and have been struggling to find time to complete the course before my gre. Ive been doing magoosh videos and manhattan but had topics left still. Wasnt sure if I should do new topics with only a few days left or review all I knew and then go on. I've delayed it twice already. On a whim, searched for crash prep math videos gre on youtube and came across this. I just wanted a video or so that would help go over the topics with a few questions each. Bless you!

31:18 seems there is an little mistake ! Since that value of x is not precise, X might be an negative number, therefore the right ans should be D. As per the question. However it is cristal clear your explanation

Easier way to solve 5; as its asking for what could be X, plug in the answers for X. -3^2 = 9 2(-3) = 6. 9 - -6 = 9+6 = 15

At 1:20:45, wouldn't the answer be B, since fractions with a higher denominator are lower in value than fractions with a lower number in the denominator?

Hello. I am confused about #10. I did it and got the answer to be D, can't be determined. I plugged in X to be "2" and did it again as "-2" and both results were different- A was bigger when X was - and A was smaller when X was positive. Thanks, trying to see where I went wrong.

question #10 should be D. If .5 is plugged into the values B becomes greater than A which means D would be the correct answer. Unless the problem explicitly states an integer has to be used you can use any amount.

I think the answer to question no.13 is option E) 24. Since the total number of marbles is 36. If 12 is the number of blue marbles, then the number of red marbles is 36-12=24

I was thinking that since there are 12 blue marbles. So out of the 30 marbles 18 will be red marbles and since 6 more red marbles are added. So 18+6=24 red marbles. This is what i thought. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
@RiRiRachel89
@RiRiRachel89 6 жыл бұрын
Gabriella Mawlong It’s telling you that within the jar of 30 marbles, there are 18 red & 12 blue. There were no marbles added. “6 more” is a way of say 12 (blue marbles) +6=18 (red marbles)
