I wish they could solve the algebra part of the second question. The solution was quite confusing 😢

To get the median for grouped data use cumulative frequencies to find the (n+1/2)th element

Inequalities using mean, median Upper half of element are biggerbthan median, the other half of elements are smaller than median Min < (median.n/2+min.n/2)/n < mean < (median. n/2 + max.n/2)/n < Max

I want to look more into the mathematical proof of going from the ratio of grap to ratio of numbers. I can memorize this procedure, but the concept is not clicking. What can I search up to learn more about this method, or more specifically, the proof of this method and why it works? Thank you!

I thought question 1 we should have worked chronologically down the list in ascending order to reach at the median value like we did in the previous episode to find out the region with the median number of secondary education teacher. In this case the result would nevertheless be the same, but I am just a bit worried about the steps.

46:24 if you put everything x, will it change the answer? not sure why it is 72 72 72... instead of x..

If we make the length of all of the pieces of rope except the longest one equal to x, we will change the answer and it will not give us the correct answer. To find the maximum possible length of the smallest piece of rope, we want to minimize the other pieces' lengths. We were told in the question that the median piece of rope had a length of 72cm, so the fourth rope must have that length. We don't know the length of the fifth and sixth length of rope, but we know we want to make them as small as possible. We can't make them any smaller than 72cm, otherwise the fourth length of rope would no longer be the median, but we can make them 72cm. This is how we know the fourth, fifth, and sixth lengths of rope should all have a length of 72cm. I hope that helps!
