Grease 2 - The Sorority Girls - "Brad" (Full Unreleased Song)

Now in a higher quality than my previous videos, it was also easier to match the song to the video! Enjoy!
Here is the full version of the song "Brad" from Grease 2 as performed by "The Sorority Girls" Stacie and Gracie. "Brad" was performed by twins Liz and Jean Sagal during the talent show auditions, although the entire performance wasn't included in the film and pieces were drowned out by dialogue. The song has never been released as part of the official soundtrack and could only be found as the B-Side to the "Cool Rider" 45 RPM record as released in Japan and the USA, although copies are rare and hard to find. I spent years tracking down a copy of this song and was disappointed to find that the song was nowhere to be found. I decided it would be best to share this with other fans of Grease 2 instead of letting it rot away in some collector's stash.

After all, they have lines in a couple of different scenes and this sets them apart from the extras and background dancers which means that they're singled out in the credits. I imagine that they're called the Sorority Girls since it's fairly obvious -- particularly after the lyrics of this song! -- that they're "preppy" and will probably be going to college after graduation.

These are my girls ! Here I am watching Grease 2 for the billionth time (yep sad I know, come on take your shots ! I wondered if there's a full version of "Brad" out there ? it's probably on KZbin & low and behold here it is! Can't help wondering why it didn't make the soundtrack ? It is part of the movie After All ? I'm a lover of many soundtracks and there's some great ones out there but some of them just don't do the movies Justice when they get released they sometimes miss the best songs and your most favourite parts ! 😯😫😀 Thanks for uploading it !

I think it was cut from the soundtrack album for room. In Europe, they released "Cool Rider" as a single and "Brad" was the b-side. I was surprised they didn't add it to the cd release.

Great song, major disappointment it was never on the soundtrack and that Japanese 7” 45rpm is on my bucket list. There’s many songs like this, that only appear but for a moment in a movie where the sound producers felt like it wasn’t worth showcasing for a second longer than it did. Check out the movie “Mi Familia” and there’s a few moments of brilliance during the dance scene for with the impossible to find gem , “Is he Really Sincere”. Another example is in the film “Up In Smoke” towards the end battle of the bands scene, the song “Bi-School”. Those are just off the top of my head but I could probably collect an entire albums worth of songs like this that even though only playing 1/3 or severely less in a film, they managed to completely capture us, much more than most songs at full length.

I prefer Grease 2to the original. Yup, I said it. For several reasons. I saw this first, i like the songs better (except that awful charades), the movie seems more fun, and the actors look like high school students. Too bad that their sister Katey wasn't born the exact same date that her younger twins were. It would've been nice if The Sorority Girls were triplets instead of just twins not that I have anything against that. Don't get me wrong. Twins are great, but Triplets is even better. It would've helped made Grease 2 a little more enjoyable and entertaining to watch whether if critics would've liked it or not. It's also possible that their names could possibly be Stacie, Gracie and Tracie. Catchy, isn't it?

It was the B-Side to Cool Rider in the US and Japan, although copies are rare and expensive. Took me years to get this and be able to share it with everyone. But yes, it's strange it was never at least put on a CD or even the vinyl re-release after all these years....maybe for the 40th anniversary ot we're licky?

Clearly, othwrwise I wouldn't have it up here. It is "unreleased" in that it was never available on the official soundtrack and the general public/casual fans wouldn't have access to it. The vinyl itself if rare, expensive, and hard to find. Before I put the song here, you couldn't find it ANYWHERE. Now, it is unofficially available for ALL fans and not just the collectors that were holding onto the vinyl amd not sharing.

@@Heather_Mason_SH3 I wish the entire soundtrack were remastered and reissued, like they did with the FABULOUS 40TH Anniversary Japanese remastered papersleeve mini-LP SHM-CD, just recently. These songs deserve to be preserved. And, the song is syrupy-stupid early '60s fluff...because it's meant to be. That's what makes it so good. It's nice to see that singing runs in the Sagal family. Those two younger Sisters of Katie were cute. Thank you, so much, for uploading it here. Always was curious about the whole song, as well as the others that were featured in the film, that didn't get to go on the LP. Should've been a double LP, like its immortal predecessor.
