Late to the party with my comments. Just found this wonderful YT channel. I was a Miami based flight attendant with the PAN AM that tried a come back. We only flew the A300. I went on to a long career with American. I was hoping to see a PAN AM A300 but no go. I remember every single one of these carriers and awesome aircraft. Well done.

That silver Alitalia 747 livery at 1:34 is truly a timeless classic, to this day it still looks very good

Sad seeing so many defunct and bankrupt airlines in this and other older spotting videos. Also cool to see the 707 freighter at 11:40

Just about the time the very first 777s were being delivered, but still 747-100s and DC-10s aplenty. And 727s. And a glorious 707!

Yes, best time of the aviation, today we only have boring twinjets.. 787 and a350 are great planes but very boring for plane spotting because almost every plane is 787 or 350... And narrow bodies today are boring too.. Only 737 or a320

So many Maddogs! There was a time in which a lot of MD-80’s used to fly over my house every single day. I remember the beautiful sound they made during the take off when I used to go there with my dad to watch some air traffic. Now I don’t even remember the last time I saw a Maddog 😞 Also, the Alitalia Bulgari 747, pride for my country 🇮🇹

707 and DC-8 with original JT3D engines, how awesome. I like the Dash 7 at 13:45 nonchalantly flying halfway down the runway before touching down

I flew into MIA from YYZ for my first-ever flight in Oct. 1997, so seeing this footage from earlier in the year brings back some memories. Admittedly, I don't remember much about the airport itself, since I was pretty young, and I was only in the city for a few days with my parents. While I did fly to Florida a few other times since (most recently in 2010), those flights were either to Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale, and not to Miami again.

That was probably deliberate as they have such a short landing run it saves a lot of ttaxying if they land halfway down the runway

Aeropostal leased A320 to Transaer from late 1998 to 1999. In 1997 it was restarting activities after ceasing operations in 1994, but didn't fly internationally yet from Venezuela. Thereby, at least the Aeropostal footages have to be from 1998 or 1999.

Nice, but no Martinair planes in this video is a disaster😟 they fly now more then 10 times per week on KMIA. They started between AMS and MIA in 1987 and still fly this route.
