Wow, 80 years old! Ebike or not, thats a lot of miles in the saddle for that trip. Well done Sir, heck of an accomplishment. One of the better documented bike tours ive watched Brian.

Love this. What a fantastic trip with your dad, and your narration style reminds me of the old WQED Kennywood Memories feature from 1990.

Thank you! It was a great trip, both for doing it with my dad and also trying the B&B approach instead of camping. By the way, you just got me to Google the Kennywood Memories.

Excellent job on the video and nice narration, I enjoyed following along. I love the gap trail on ebike’s and ride these parts often. Maybe I’ll pass by you sometime? Great to see your father still getting out there and enjoying life! Cheers

@@briansadventures Absolutely, it was a beautiful ride. I rode most of it 118 miles on the first day and finished the trail on the next day. Didn't plan to rush like that but I enjoyed the ride and didn't want to stop, also next day was a rainy day. Now, I'm putting video together. 🙂

@briansadventures Of course! Thank you for making your videos! We had a great time, and camped in a couple of the locations you mentioned (Lock 21 being one). Looking forward to hearing about your experience on the Empire State Trail, that you mentioned in this video! I live near Albany and have been interested in doing some other portions of that trail as well!

Enjoyed another of your many wondeful video's once again Brian! My Dad is 87 and I'm 65 and there's no way I could have ever gotten him out there even when we were both decades younger! I stumbled onto this old Arlo Guthrie song "Highway In The Wind" the other day which kind of captures the magic of the open road. The lyrics kind of harken back to the 1960s & are definitely a bit dated with his "like a rolling stone" approach to romance but oh well. Lol. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl68XqtqjsyIsJY

Thank you Mark! I saw Arlo Guthrie in concert many years ago, I believe at Oberlin College. He had his son, Abe, playing with him. It was a surprise that my Dad agreed to do the trip, though I think he has the bug to ride more, even if locally.
