The American Swiss Foundation's 2022 Great American Speaker Series featured Dr. Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies. The conversation was moderated by Dr. Christoph Eisenring (Young Leader 2003), economics editor of Neue Zürcher Zeitung. It touched on the correlation between tech innovation and creativity and the conditions necessary for both to thrive, namely, freedom, democracy, and a culture of open discourse. American Swiss Foundation's President Patricia Schramm (Young Leader 1999) gave opening remarks.
The Great American Speaker Series was founded by the late Ambassador Faith Whittlesey to bring American thought leaders to Switzerland. Former speakers have included a Supreme Court Justice, Chairman of the SEC, and U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization.

Alex Karp is amazing, unique and it’s obvious few analysts listen to your channel to truly try to understand more than the numbers of Palantir. The comparison of genius software developers to genius musicians and artists is fascinating, and it makes sense that the creativity factor is setting the standards of having a product that is 5 year ahead of Wall Street’s understanding. Philosophy and Tech meets culture. It's about what makes you want to stay, opening possibilities and opportunities without being stifled to innovate. Eccentric mind warping of thoughts, it must be hard to sleep in his world, ADHD and genius fighting to explain nuances to make sense is difficult at his level for simple minds. Palantir is going to need a PR team to represent any product they wish to explore, being gifted is not what creates adoption of expensive tech if it's not clearly understood. (A Tony Robbins like character has the skill he needs for investor adoption) the focus of gab. Im betting on 2-5 years for the marketing of Palantir to show its worth imo. Data is a comparative advantage when it can be used to create added value. instead of just collecting, storing and analysing them on an individual entity, data should be shared responsibility with trust and integrity though the help of blockchain ledger, to integrate into big data which analysed by powerful advance software can create huge comparative advantage for the benefit of economy , politic of not just individual country, government or company, but for the benefit and sustainability and dominance of the entire western democracy and economy which if we are forward thinking , we must already be worry of a potential new world order happening with the rise of China. This requires integration. And palantir is the intermediary to connect to integrate to empower the alliance not just on a governmental level but as well as all western corporations ! Such a role must be played by some entity, that is palantir. Such a role cannot have competition because competition will promote unhealthy conflict of interests , competition for data will led to inaccuracies of a analysis, lead to leakage, lead to conflict amount best talent which is counter productive, talents and data must be consolidated to offer the best outcome and integrity. This gives palantir its moat. It’s government moat, it’s network effect moat, it’s unique products moat, it’s first mover moat, it’s secured one of a kind rare talents moat, it’s sticky products moat, it’s national strategic and western strategic moat, and the founders are billionaires who are dealing with governments and top companies in the world, how can they possibly fool the world, they are real and offer values. This is why everyone is paying money for its added value and paying attention. The more data integration they more critical they becomes. They will becomes so powerful like google. We are talking about long term secular growth and patience. Look at the conflict we have today and think big.
