We leave out of the Moccasin Gap parking area for a day of riding. This is for sure our favorite area to ride in all of Arkansas. Plenty of overlooks, waterfalls, and a good variety of trails make this our favorite. A few sketchy areas in this video. We love the challenge of a sketch trail. Join us in the next series of videos for some serious ATV trail riding action on a Can-Am Outlander 1000, Kawasaki Brute Force 750, and a Can-Am Outlander 850.

I live in Russellville Arkansas and I used to go up to Dover to see my grandpa every Friday night, and I love the Mack’s pines trails it’s just that they’re very rough. Also, we used to go fishing a lot at Piny Creek

Some of them are definitely rough. But we have found quite a few smooth ones as well, specifically west of moccasin gap.

Is this a good place for family ride so the old folks won’t get hurt?
@miillersoffroad
@miillersoffroad 3 ай бұрын
That's a tough question to answer. Everyone's riding skill set is different. I feel like for the most part this is a great place for everyone to ride, but if your not used to Rocky and rugged terrain it might not be your style. I would recommend Mount Magazine. It's smooth, wonderful overlooks, and great for the entire family.

Haha Nope we weren’t there that weekend. We were there a month later in November. No doughnuts eh? LOL We think it’s the stoners stacking those rocks..😂😂 Yep I would much rather ride through the woods then drive through the woods. Yeah buddy some of those spots are pretty sketchy!!

It's gotta be the stoners 😂 Man you just wait, we went a couple weekends ago and my goodness do I have something to show you. The video will be coming out soon, I still have catching up to do. But I'm betting I found something you haven't seen before 😉

Nice video, looks like a fun place to ride. What are your thoughts on the Kawasaki vs can am?
@miillersoffroad
@miillersoffroad Жыл бұрын
Well I have been running Kawasaki's exclusively since I was a kid so I'm kind of partial. That being said, almost wish I had went Can-Am. For durability, the Can-Ams have already proven they can take a beating, but time will tell. The Kawasaki has more power than you will ever use, the Can-Ams have even more. I can go head to head with the 850 in a drag race, winning 50% of the time..... Until the 850 hits 40mph, he's gone. The 1000 is on another level of power. Ride quality, Can-Am wins that battle easily, but that being said, the Kawasaki does ride very well. Maintenance, Kawasaki wins that one by a landslide. To sum it up, the Can-Ams are like riding Cadillacs on the trails. They just float right over stuff that you feel on my bike. Another thing I do like about the Kawasaki though is the skinnyness. I can fit between tighter trees. That's a pro and a con though, it's a bit tipsy. Very tipsy with stock tires. All 3 machines are fantastic, you can't really go wrong, but if I were to do it all over again, I think I would get the Can-Am 850.

@@miillersoffroad I have 3 Sportsman 570s for my family and so far they have been excellent machines. I feel like the ride quality is great, I like their 4x4 system, and the 570 puts out plenty of power for the trail riding we do. I think all brands have good machines if you take care of them.

@@rodneyfarwell3396 yep I definitely agree. I don't feel like we necessarily abuse ours, but we definitely ride them hard. We are very up to date on maintenance always. That helps tremendously. We change our oil all the time because of the dusty conditions that we often ride in. I also try to take good care of my air filter. I put a K&N filter on my bike. Makes cleaning it faster and easier.

In my opinion it's just about like every other bike I've ever rode. Definitely less heat than my Kawasaki though.

Thanks for the content!! What do you use for your GPS?
@miillersoffroad
@miillersoffroad Жыл бұрын
Gaia! It's hands down the best mapping system. It took just a few times using it to figure it out. It seems too complex at first but it's really not. I also like the accuracy. Sometimes there will be trails on the map that no longer exist. But if it says there's a trail at a specific spot, you will be basically on top of it. If you put in coordinates to anything, it will take you right to its exact location. The accuracy is insane. It's just a wonderful program overall. Well worth the money.

@@miillersoffroad so do you download your trail maps from home?
@miillersoffroad
@miillersoffroad Жыл бұрын
@@brutelife9177 no it's an App on my phone but you can also login on a PC. It has a system that allows you to route out where you're going and save it so that you can just follow your planned route. I have been trying to do that, saves time once your on the trails. You rarely have to question where to go.

I hear all about these paid maps, but what about the maps on the Ride Command app?
@miillersoffroad
@miillersoffroad Жыл бұрын
@@angelamcswain4556 I have never used Ride Command more than a few minutes. Gaia is the king and will probably always be. Thats why overlanding people and hikers use it as well. Its at the very top in every category. I will never go back to anything else. I used Avenza and Maprika for years.
