While I’m not from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia runs deep in my blood. In fact, my grandmother is from Cape Breton. Still makes me relaxed. I can just picture being on the water with the scent of the sea. I need to go to a beach again...

I heard in the 50’s new foundland wanted to join the US.

It was mostly between 1945 and 49 this was mostly because many Newfoundlanders had family connections to Boston plus the US had built army and navy all over Newfoundland at this time marking many Newfoundland men have jobs on these American bases and many Newfoundland women married American service men
