Alligators and cassowaries were also used. A cassowary’s calls sound like grunting and alligators let out a loud, gurgling “burp” sound.

0:26 is literally the organic version of the Silent Hill 2 item pickup sound

Exactly what I was thinking. The inventory noise from SH2 and 3.
@lindsay8333 жыл бұрын
@@CheekyChan I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to think so. I can't "un-hear" that sound and now whenever I pick up batteries or a flashlight I hear it in my head haha. Sometimes I even do a little "doo-doo" outloud to make myself feel better.
@CheekyChan3 жыл бұрын
@@lindsay833 Same here. Sometimes I think of the item collection sound from the OG Resident Evil games too. I think the worst is when I'm super tired and I'm walking out to my car when it's pitch black outside and my mind will randomly think of a noise like the pendulum grinding from SH3 and I speed walk to my car just a little faster.
@spencergage952 жыл бұрын
To me it sounds a little lower-pitched than that sound effect but it's very similar.

ITS A GREAT BITTERN USING ITS AVERAGE CALL YOU BUFFOON
@NightHeronProduction2 жыл бұрын
@@cunnieseverywhere Its a Bittern (Great or Eurasian, you pick which descriptor name you prefer) using its "AVERAGE" call which it usually makes from the cover of dense reedbeds. The secretive disposition of this species of bird coupled with its relatively low population numbers has made observation of this behaviour rather rare and difficult to observe let alone capture on film until recently, as a consequence this footage is an excellent example of seldomly seen behaviour that characterises this species. Now if you find anything in this comment to complain about, please feel free to leave another reply, YOU MEAN SPIRITED PRATT!!

Heard one at RSPB Ouse Fen in June this year, when it was cloudy. The bird was somewhere in the middle of the reedbed section of the reserve (it is very large compared to most reserves I have been to), and I could hear it all over the reedbed section. They are known as Britain's loudest bird for a reason. Also saw one the day before yesterday, got some photos too. :D

I have them in my area and listen to them every night. I love the booming sound, it's so eerie and soothing at the same time. Always wondered what kind of bird does that. Now I showed this video to everyone who live with me and for some neighbors so they know what it is. Despite living for so long here, nobody (my parents, grandparents, etc.) never paid too much attention to them nor saw the bird as it is a camouflage master. Edit: top right corner of Poland is where I listen to them

This is called booming. Certain birds like grouses, ostriches and bitterns do that. They stretch their neck and inflate that, or use a specialized neck pouch for that.

When i was a child i used to h arthis every summer. Since the boice was cining from the wide of the lake which was 2km away from my home i always thought the sound came from wind blowing into bottle lol. Only in my 20s i somehow tound out its a bird. In reality it sounds differnet, like i said you could heat it from at least 2km away. Amazing sound.
