I did that almost 50 years ago in chemistry class with a funnel with some soap solution in a ring stand and connected to a gas outlet. It made a cool column of bubbles that scorched the ceiling.

I was "demonstrating" how hand sanitizer was flammable to the kids. I covered my hand in it and lit it up. Like James, I lost most the hair on my hand. I can't wait to give this a try too!
