Great cinematography of Red Desert (1964)

Carlo Di Palma shot the film for director Michelangelo Antonioni. Sydney Lumet wrote he couldn't figure out how to use color until he saw Red Desert and later hired Di Palma to shoot for him.

She checks to see no one is watching her then starts eating. Its only when the camera pans that we get to see the smoldering refuse. Great stuff!
