WOW. What happy memories. I loved the Grand Cinema on Blackburn Road and more so on Saturday mornings. And those very tasty pies from Eddlestons. My dad and my mum both worked at the Grand Cinema. My dad was the protectionist and my mum sold the tickets and worked the kiosk. Donald Smith and Joe Baron also worked there. We all lived at 20 Church Street. Moved to Blackpool in 1974. Now I am soon to emigrate to the Philippines. Goodbye UK. I always will call Great Harwood my home town. I went to St John's School then to St Wilfrids in Blackburn. Mr Gaskell was head teacher at St John's and Mrs Rouse the English teacher. Happy years they were too.

For what ever reason, I put Great Harwood in the KZbin search. I too now live in Aus, having done so for the past 23 years. I've only been back twice, and the only thing I miss, are the pubs, and the Chinese next to the Lomax Arms, at the end of Lomax Street that my parents still live in. I actually remember when the Weavers Return was called the Weavers Arms, and for a short while, 'Blue Moon'. Some happy memories.

In Brizzie, lived in Lyndon Avenue and went to the parish school, St Bartholomew's, then to St Christopher's in Accrington, I'm 61 now (left in 1970) miss it so much, would love to go back 💖

I live in Surfers Paradise on the Queensland Gold Coast in Australia. I was born at Bramley Mead ( Clitheroe/Whalley) in 1965. My parents lived at 95 Church Street when I was born. I was christened at St Bartholomew’s on the 13 Feb 1966. I attended Western County Infants and then Juniors next door. I’ve lived in the square at Greenhill and lived on Edge End when the majority of houses were still being built. Our house was number 28 on the left side going up the ginnle. Both my Dad and Mum worked at the Oxo factory making my older brother and I ‘ Gravy Babies’ . Mum later worked at Hyam’s as a weaver. I still remember they used hand signals to communicate the noise was so loud. Dad had worked at Butts Mill before it closed. He was working in Bamber Bridge for a bit. He moved to be a South Africa in 1974 and Mum, older brother , myself and my then baby sister moved there in 1975 ( we had to wait almost a year for our visas). As a result I lived in South Africa from Oct 1975 until Mid 1995. I returned to the UK living in Herefordshire, Cornwall and even Great Harwood. Met my wife in Harwood. Married in 2005. 2006 we moved to Australia. Been back a few times, even lived in Ludlow for a couple of years. Came back to Queensland a few years back now. Of all the places I’ve seen and in all the many places I’ve lived I’ll always be a Haroder and Great Harwood will always be home. God Bless

Great video just bought a house in great Harwood, only been twice, once to a rave at monroes when I were a about 20, and last month to view property so cheers I know we're pubs are now, not likely to get a pint as I herd there's a bug going about. However gota be better than Burnley eh

Nice one its been years since ive been there. Could you do an up date one please . That corner shop on water street used to be the mill's my dad used to work there. What is it now? Is the old surgarey still there. The swimming baths still standing and the library too. Please could you do an up date one . Thank you

i used to live in great harwood i know live in jummu kashmir it's nice but I don't see anything has changed in great harwood still looks same to me what is a point of making a video clip i can't see anything new or change in great harwood
