Great video! I wish your stylist had educated you better on the importance of having your extensions removed by a professional. Waiting for your extensions to “fall out” is literally the worst thing you can do to your fine hair, and will cause EXTRA hair loss and shedding😩 Pulling the extensions out how you’re describing - the elastic feeling is actually just your hair snapping and breaking. So so bad for your hair 😭 A full removal for your specific application would probably take 30m max, and you wouldn’t have to experience literally cutting out bonds or pulling your natural hair out of the bonds. The extensions are absolutely designed to be removed because most will stay until they fall out. Waiting for your extensions to “fall out” creates extra weight on your hair due to the distance of how far they’ve grown away from your head, can tangle very easily, and will hurt your natural hair. Especially when someone has more than half their head covered with extensions; the risk is way too great to just choose to not have them removed. What you’re describing is exactly how natural hair gets damaged and since you already took great care of your extensions like you did - which overall was great! removal is so fast and very easy for your stylist, and it is actually going to help your hair. The investment doesn’t stop at having them put in, aftercare includes having them removed by a professional at an appropriate time, which is gauged by your hair density. (Finer bonds are smaller and need to be removed sooner than thicker density does). This isn’t knocking you at all because not all GL stylists emphasize this unfortunately, but I just wanted to share that with you as I’ve seen exactly this be reasons for damage after wearing extensions! hopefully any of the 500 people that have watched this will understand how important it is to have your extensions removed by a pro 🤍

Hey lovely! Thank you for that comment. Oh gosh haha I knew that these extensions CAN be removed by a stylist but both times, I ended up taking them out myself. Obviously very gently and over a few days towards the end of it's lifespan... thank you for emphasizing that and next time I will 100% make sure I do it at a salon. 😍 I'm always open to hear tips and tricks with GL extensions so keep them coming haha!
