Often times literature offers a perspective that enhances and betters our understanding of whats happening in the real world for sureeee

Cicero once said, "Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others." In our community November is the month of gratitude - meat, potatoes, veggies, pies, all come to a nutritious bounty at the end of November with Thanksgiving. For the heavenly host of Angels their nutritious substance is gratitude - create plenty of opportunities to draw that feeling out in other people, those winged beings are mighty hungry, and these days, taking joy seems to be a rare commodity. You'd love our book clubs, we read nothing under 100 years old, save a few children's books, but it's guaranteed the authors, the young ones, are over 125. Looking forward to some great lessons and to add to out list of great books.

Hi Tim, your insights on inferno and purgatorio really elevated my experience reading dante and seeing how persistent some ideas can be throughout history, both good and evil. I'm now reading some Dostoevsky on my own and being awestruck at how relevant it all feels despite its age and setting... I'm looking forward to this series and your thoughts!
